Girls Camp and Scholarships

Gr. 10 - 12 Girls. Camp Ignite: A FREE four-day intro to the world of firefighting, mentorship and inspiration to follow their dreams (whatever they are). Gr. 12. Guruparan and Winsor Scholarships (2x$6000): Academics, well-rounded, and pursuing a degree or diploma in commerce/finance/business. Aimed at those whose parents/guardians do not have a post-secondary education or received their post-secondary education outside of Canada. 2012 Maple Leaf Youth Awards

The awards are designed to recognize well-rounded British Columbian students who demonstrate an understanding of Canadian identity and exceptional achievements in one or more of the following:

. Outstanding achievements in Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Applied Arts or Digital Media
. Exemplary contributions to the community – locally, nationally, and or internationally
. Exceptional athletic achievement

The Essay
A 500 word essay on the following topic is required:
What does it mean to be a Canadian citizen in the 21st century?
Three Awards will be Given
$1,500 for the first place Recipient
$1,000 for the second place Recipient
$750 for the third place Recipient

B.C. Electrical Association 2012 Bursary Program

If you are planning to pursue a career in one of the following areas: Electrical, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, and Business, you may apply to receive a bursary of $500-$1000 towards post-secondary. Please see Ms. A if you are interested in applying.

Phillip Paulson Scholarship

This is a $500 scholarship for post-secondary awarded to students who demonstrates compassion, a dedication to serving others through volunteer work at school and beyond, a commitment to the betterment of individuals or the greater society.
